For many rural dwellers including those with disabilities across South Antrim, a missed medical appointment can mean longer waiting times for next appointment, increased costs to the health service and a decline in health.
We can offer a transport option for members wishing to travel outside of the operational area for medical appointments only. There is a small fee for this type of journey, to cover mileage costs. Costs will be provided when you request transport.
This service is subsidised by Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council, The Halifax Foundation and Northern Health and Social Care Trust.
We can provide transport to (amongst others):
Altnagelvin Area Hospital
Ballymena Health and Care Centre
Beech Hall Wellbeing and Treatment Centre
Belfast City Hospital (including Cancer Centre)
Causeway Hospital
Mater Hospital (including Macular Clinic)
Mid-Ulster Hospital
Musgrave Park Hospital
Royal Victoria Hospital
Shankill Health and Well-being Centre
Please visit our membership page to register.
All requests for transport are subject to availability.
